AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
SPADORO & HILSON

WHEREAS, thc Borough of Car]ere] is in need of' specialized legal services I
connection with its defense and prosecution iii the matter of llarold Saperstcin ~.
Jolm p. \'~a ]skt s, et als., docket no.: L-950-99; and
XVIIEREAS, the Borough has retained lhc services of Spadoro & ililson,
]attorneys att law, because they possess thc requisite experience and expertise to
prox ide said legal services; and
VVIIEREAS, there is a :]ccd to increase Iht authorization previously provided to
SI adot'o & Hilson in Resolution #01-181 tbr said lcgal scrviccs; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Of'ricer has certiried lhat fimds arc available for
said purpose.
NOXV, TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by thc Mayor and Council of the
Borough o£ Car]ere], County of Middlescx, State of Nex~ Jersey, as £ollows:
The Law Firln of' Spadoro & Hilson is hereby retained as
special counsel in the above referenced matter at an hourly
rate of $I25.00 per hour for an additional cost of'
$20,000.00 and not to excecd at] increased maximum cost
orS110,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTItER RESOLVED that this award is made
as a professional services cot]tract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-5(1)a. A notice of
