"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO BANNAOUN ENGINEERS-CONSTRUCTORS
IN THE AMOUNT OF $369,100.00 FOR WALNUT AVE., VIRGINIA AVE.,
POPE AVE., DUNCAN AVE., LOUISE AVE. AND CORTLAND ST., STREET
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 5-5253, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT."

•~ WHEREAS, the Walnut Ave , Virginia Ave , Pope Ave , Duncan Ave ,
~- Louise Ave., and Cortland St. Street improvement Pro~ect, Project No 5-
5253 is scheduled for completion during the FY 2002-2003; and
WHEREAS, the Walnut Ave., Virginia Ave., Pope Ave , Duncan Ave ,
Louise Ave., and Cortland St. Street Improvement Project is funded by
Community Development Block Grant Funds; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on September 4, 2002, and the
Bannaoun Engineers-Constructors is the lowest bidder at $369,100.00, and,
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 That the contract for the Walnut Ave., Virginia Ave , Pope
Ave., Duncan Ave , Louise Ave and Cortland St., Street Improvement Project,
Project Number 5-5253 be awarded to Bannaoun Engineers-Constructors, for its
low bid of $369,100.00.
~ Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
agreement between the City of Lynwood and Bannaoun Engineers-Constructors
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17th day of September, 2002.
