STAHL Dear Neighbor: TOWN OF GULF STREAM PALM BEACH COUNTY. FLORIDA August 1, 1991 MAIL ADDRESS 100 SEA ROAD GULF STREAM. FLORIDA 33483 TEL GULF STREAM (4071 2765116 Town Manager FRANKLIN E. FLANNERY This is to advise that the Town of Gulf Stream has designated a historic corridor within our community. This was done to preserve the traditional and natural charm of our community. The entire portion of the North Ocean Boulevard right-of-way, that lies within the Town of Gulf Stream, and a fifty foot strip of private property adjacent to the right-of-way on the east and west sides of the right-of-way, have been designated as the corridor. This area is bounded on the north, by Sea Road, and on the south by Pelican Lane. In designating the corridor, certain reasonable controls have been placed on activity within that area. It is now necessary to obtain a permit, for which there is no charge, before commencing any of the following: Any additions, alterations, or removal of vegetation berms, walls, gates, fences, columns, driveways, walkways, or other impervious areas or structures. The removal of dead or diseased trees and vegetation, pruning, lawn care, and accepted horticultural practices are, of course, allowed without a permit. If any work is being contemplated in any of these areas kindly contact the Town Hall at 276-5116, to determine the information that will be required when requesting a permit. Within the historic corridor, only one driveway cut per buildable lot shall be allowed and the driveway is to be situated in a manner so as to require the least disturbance of landscape features. It is also necessary to apply for a permit before beginning any proposed demolition. If permission for demolition is granted, there will be a fee for this type of permit. Contractor Signs are not permitted in the corridor. The matter of Real Estate Signs is still under study. It is suggested that Town Hall be contacted before any Real Estate Sign is placed in the corridor. Your cooperation in helping us protect a h, Jr. Mayor 6 the character of the town is most
