A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
THE WATER PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH CENTR.AL
BASIN MLTNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT '

WHEREAS, starting January 1, 2003, the CBMWD will change its rate structure and
require the City to enter into a Water Purchase Agreement; and
WHERBAS, the Purchase Agreement will have two-tiers system; and
WHEREAS, the Crty will purchase the first 1,524 AF at the tier 1 rate of $457 00
annually; and
WHEREAS, for each additional acre-foot over 1,524 AF, the City will pay the tier 2
rate of $538 00; and
WHEREAS, the City will commit to purchase 5,079 AF for 5 years and a daily
capacity reservation flow of 6 cubic feet per second for summer time from May to September.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute the Water
Purchase Agreement wrth Central Basm Mumcipal Water District.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
