A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES/CITY ENGINEER OR HIS DESIGNEE
TO APPLY FOR AN INFRASTRUCTURE REHABILITATION
PROGRAM CONSTRUCTION GRANT AND TO EXECUTE ALL
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH
THE GRANT
WHEREAS, several of the city's water main lines are deficient and failmg and
are in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, under the Safe Drinkmg Water, Clean Water, Watershed Protection
and flood protechon Act the city may apply for a grant to rehabilitate leakmg or failed water
system mfrastructure. ~
NOW, THEREFORE, the Crty Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows•
Section 1. Pursuant and sub~ect to all of the terms and provisions of the Safe
Dnnking Water, Clean Water, Watershed Protection and flood protection Act and amendments
thereto, staff is authonzed to apply for a grant for Infrastructure Rehabihtation project from the
California Department of Water Resources.
Section 2. The Director of Environmental Services/City Engmeer or his designee
is hereby authorized to prepare the necessary documents, sign and file such an application with
the California Department of Water Resources.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
