RESOLUTION NO 2002.188 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF NINETEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED ,~ GENERAL FLJNI) BALANCE FOR THE 2003 YOUTH BASEBALL.CLINIC ' y WHEREAS, Lynwood Athletics and Cominunity Services (LACS), a local Non- ' Profit Corporation, has approached the City~ of Lynwood offering to conduct a Youth Baseball Clinic; and t WHEREAS, LACS has approached the City of Lynwood to support this coinrnunity event for a nui~ber of years, and WHEREAS, The clinic will have two (2) celebrity hosts including Mr. James Bishop and Mr. Mario "Tony" Miranda, both of which grew up here in the City of ~ Lynwood and went on to flourishing careers in professional baseball; and WHEREAS, This program will be offered free-of-charge to Ly,nwood residents only and those non-residents who wish to attend and participate in this Youth Baseball Clinic will be assessed a registration fee, and . ~ , A, WHEREAS, This is a prograrn which was not funded as part of the 2002%2003 ~ fiscal budget; and WHEREAS, The pro~ected costs associated with the conduction of this prograrn is approxzmately nineteen thousand dollars ($19,000.0.0). NOW, THEREFOIZE, the City Council of the City o•f Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows• ~ ~ 1` Section 1. The City Manager or hls designee ~s authorized to carryout any `` necessary transactions as so ordered by thrs resolution. ~ ` - Section 2. That a fund appropriation in the ainount of $19,000 00 be allocated froin the unappropriated general fund balance in the following fashion: From Account Nu~mber To Account Number Unappropnated General Fund Balance 01-4772-4220 Section 3.
