Kurdyla 152 Lowell Street ~1\ Dear Ms. Barney: As requested, we have investigated the applicant's request for the designation of an on- street handicapped parking space to be located on Lowell Street along the propeliy frontage. Although parking is allowed on Lowell Street, the property in question does not provide an off-street parking space; furthermore, as required by NJSA title 39:4-1975, the subject's application indicates the applicant has applied for a valid disabled person identification card. Therefore, since there are no physical or regulator re iet' ons for designating a handicapped parking space at this location, we hay no objectio 0 the Borough granting the applicant's request for a designated handicapped par ing space in front of 152 Lowell Street, subject to the approval of the Borough's Traffic Safety Officer. Based on our site visit, the property in question does not provide for off street parking at this location, however on street parking is available. Therefore, since there is adequate on-street parking at the subject property, we recommend that the Borough not approve the applicant's request for the designation of an on street handicapped parking space.
