A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND
MYBAR PRINTING, INC. FOR PRINTING SERVICES
WHEREAS, as a result of the concern to have more printed information
disseminated to the Lynwood community, Lynwood `n Perspective was implemented in
~' February 1993 and is now entering its l Oth year of publication; and

~~ WHEREAS, Lynwood `n Perspective has been recognized as a national and
international award winning newsletter; and
WHEREAS, in 2002, Lynwood `n Perspective was distinguished by 3CMA (City,
County Communications and Marketing Association) as the most outstanding city
newsletter in America, of cities with a population 65,650 to 86,000; and
WHEREAS, Lynwood `n Perspective features timely information about city
services, programs and everits that is beneficial to the entire community; and
WHEREAS, Lynwood `n Perspective has gain community popularity since
becoming an English and Spanish publication in 1998; and
WHEREAS, staff has obtained sufficient price quotes from vendors regarding the
printing of the newsletter; and
WHEREAS, after review of each vendor, it was determined that Mybar Printing,
Inc., submitted the lowest price quote; and
',- WHEREAS, Mybar Printing, Inc. over the past two years, has printed the City's
monthly newsletter, Lynwood `n Perspective rendering exceptional quality services to the
'~_t City; and
WHEREAS, Mybar Printing, Inc. proposed to print Lynwood `n Perspective (12
issues) at a cost not to exceed $ 27,324.00.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve, order and determine
as follows:
Section 1. The City Council does hereby authorize entering into an agreement
between the City of Lynwood and Mybar Printing, Inc. for printing twelve issues of the
City's monthly newsletter for a total cost not to exceed $27,324.00
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 2lstday of, January 2003.
