A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING THE
CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS
,
AND PROPERTY INTERESTS FROM THE
ALAMEDA CORRIDOR TRANSPORTATION
~,;~_, AUTHORITY, CITY OF LOS ANGELES AND CITY
( f OF LONG BEACH, AND AUTHORIZING THE
~ MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL RELATED
DOCUMENTS FOR RECORDATION
WHEREAS, on April 23, 1998, the City of Lynwood entered into
certam Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Alameda Corndor
Transportation Authority (ACTA), the City of Los Angeles acting by the Board of
Harbor Commissioners and the City of Long Beach acting by and through the
Board of Harbor; and
WHEREAS, said MOU was to facilitate the construction and
operation of the Rail Corridor and other related improvements, and
WHEREAS, said MOU also set forth ACTA and the City's
agreement relative to acceptance of conveyance of improvements and real
property interests as well as maintenance responsibility upon completion of the
pro~ect, and
~ WHEREAS, the Rail Corridor 'Project was substantially completed
on April 15, 2002, and
WHEREAS, ACTA is now requesting the City to accept conveyance
of certain improvements and property interests pursuant to the MOU
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood as follows
Section 1 That the City Council accepts the conveyance of said
improvements and property interests '
Section 2 That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute all
related documents and the recordation of said documents thereof
Section 3 This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption ~
