APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
GENOVA BURNS & VERNOIA
'VHEREAS, the Borough of Calteret is in need of specialized legal services with
regard to various ongoing personnel matters; and
'VHEREAS, the law finn of Genova Bums & Vemoia possesses the requisite
expeIience and expertise to provide said specialized legal services; and .
'VHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret.
1. That the law finn of Genova Bums & Vemoia is hereby
appointed special labor counsel at an hourly rate set
pursuant to the finn's existing contract with the Borough
for a maximum cost not to exceed $25,000.00. .
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the
Borough's Purchasing Department. ~
3. This action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:1l-5(1)(a) in
accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as
authorized by law.
