"A RESOLUTION OF~ THE~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY' OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT .FUNDS FOR THE
CALIFORNIA CLEAN WATER; CLEAN AIR, SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS, AND
COSTAL PROTECTION BOND ACT OF 2002 FOR THE FERNWOOD
NATURE TRAIL PROJECT AND APPOINTS THE C1TY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE AS AGENT TO CONDUCT4ALL NEGOTIATIONS, EXECUTE AND
SUBMIT ALL DOCUMENTS INCLUDING BUT~ ~NOT LIMITED TO,
APPLICATIONS, AGREEMENTS, PAYMENT ~ REQUESTS AND SO ON,
WHICH MAY BE NECESSARY FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT."
~, WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the Clean
- Water; Clean Air, Safe Neighborhoods, and Costal Protection Bond Act of 2002 which
provides funds for~the San Gabriel `and Lower Los Angeles Rives and Mountains
Conservancy (RMC) Grant Program; and
- . WHEREAS, the (RMC) has been delegated tfie responsibility.for,the
, administration of the grant program in its jurisdicfion~, setting up necessary procedures;
and ~ ~ , ~ -
, WHEREAS, said_procedur.es established bythe RMC require the
~ Applicants Governing Body fo certify by resolution the approvai of the Application before
submission of said application to~the State, and .,
~ ~ WHEREAS, if the city is award a, grant, the Applicant wili enter into a
Contract with the State of California for the Projecf. ~-
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of fhe City of Lynwood does-hereby
find, proclaim; order.and resolve as follows: .~

Section 1. Approves the'filing of the Application for local assistance firom
. the RMC Grant Program,under the Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhoods, and
Costal Protection Bond Act of.2002. . • ~

`• Section 2. Certifies that the Project is consistent with local or regional
land use plans and programs. . - ~
~ • ~ Section 3. Certifies that the Project is consistent with Common Ground ~
. and P.hase II. Final Reports. ~ , ' ~ ~ ~
- ~ Section 4. Certifies the Applicant has ~or will have sufficient funds to
operate_and maintain the Project. " , ~ , .'
_~ Section 5. Certifies that the Applicant has reviewed and understands the
General Provision contfained in the Procedural guide.
Section 6. Appoints City Manager or iiis designee as agent to conducf
, all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including but not limited to,
' applicafions, agreements, payment requests and so on, which may be~necessary for the
completion of the project , ~
Section 7. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
