A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF PROFESSIONAL AND
CONTRACTUAL SERVICES THROUGH AN INFORMAL BID PROCEDURE
FOR THE REHABILITATION OF WELLS NO. 8, 11, 15 AND TWO BOOSTER
PUMPS
WHEREAS, the City Water system is composed of seven Water Wells and three
Booster Pumps; and
WHEREAS, based on recent Hydraulic and sand tests, Wells No. 8, 11,15 and two
Booster Pumps need to be rehabilitated; and
WHEREAS, because of the nature of the emergency, the rehabilitation can be done
more economically and expeditiously using an informal bid procedure; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code, Council can
authorize purchases through informal bids by 4/5 votes
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section l. That Staff is authorized to purchase professional and contracfual
services for the rehabilitation of Wells No. 8, 11, 15, and two Booster Pumps.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
