" A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ORDERING THE VACATION AND • ABANDONMENT FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES OF ARVAL AVENUE AND THE CONTIGUOUS ALLEYS BOUNDED BY IMPERIAL HIGHWAY, STOCKWELL DRIVE AND MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BOULEVARD WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did, on the 18th day of March, 2003, adopted. Resolution No. 2003-044, declaring its intention to vacate that portion of Arval Avenue. and the contiguous alleys bounded by Imperial Highway, Stockwell Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard; and - WHEREAS, notices of said vacation have been posted in the time, form, and manner required by law; and • WHEREAS, a public hearing on the matter was held on the 15th day of April 2Q03, as prescribed by law. - NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood as follows: ~, , Section l. That the following described portions of street and alleys are unnecessary for present or prospective public use, and that the public interest, necessity and convenience require that the City Council of said . City hereby order the vacation and •, ;n, abandonment of said street and alleys: ~ y ~ ' ~I , That portion of Arval Avenue northeast of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and the contiguous ~alleys bounded by imperial Highway to the ~ northwest, Stockwell Drive to the east and Martin Luther King Jr. ` _ Boulevard (formerly Century Boulevard) to the southwest, as shown in Tract No. 14391, in the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of . - California, Map Book 313, Pages 1-2 of maps in the office of the Los Angeles. County Recorder. ~ ' Section 2. That tlie City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby determine . that the public, convenience and necessity require that necessary easements be retained for - , construction and maintenance of utilities within the limits of said portions of streets as described in Section 1. ~ Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood shall cause a certified copy of said order to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County. Section 4.
