ROLL CALL AND CALL TO ORDER Dave Faurot, Ron Rooth, Scotty Davenport, Kevin Briem, John Rygh and Cynthia Feeley were present. II. INTRODUCTION OF GUEST Chuck Whitescarver — Cheap Thrills Darrel Cobb — McCall Power Sport Rentals Frank and Aaron Dunder Christen Martineau III. OLD BUSINESS PARKS a.) Conditional Use Permit — Fish Pen Docks The CUP was approved and the docks are now in place. b.) Skate park Construction Skate park Construction will begin July 25th. Looking forward to seeing the new park built. IV. NEW BUSINESS PARKS a.) Advisory Committee Functions and Structure N/A Did not have enough time to complete. b.) c.) Payette Lake and Boat Launch Docks — Chuck Whitescarver Special Use Permits — Resort A Float and McCall Power Sport Rentals Daryl Cobb from McCall Power Sport explained his business and how long he has lived in McCall. Frank and Aaron Dunder from Resort a Float explained their business and why they want a special use permit. Daryle explained he went to the city three weeks prior because he was told by the community that he was going to be shut down. We he went to the city he was told he did not need anything to conduct business on the lake. So he feels that the city he made a huge mistake. There was a lot of arguing between the committee and guests and it was hard to determine what was being discussed at this point. The recommendation from the Parks and Recreation Director was to: Issue a special use permit Put a Guide Line on the Special Use Permit with the Agreement Hold off on making any decisions until the Committee has enough information. A motion was made by Scotty Davenport to table the decision until the next meeting. John Rygh seconded the motion and all were in favor. Ron Rooth recommended we do a site visit, go over City Code and explain in writing what the final decision will be. d.) Concession Agreement Dave Faurot recommended a concession Agreement to Catch Me If You Can for the amount of $50 for the remainder of the season agreement to be specified and written by the Parks and Recreation Director. Seconded by Scotty Davenport. All were in favor. RECREATION a.) T-ball/Softball All is going well. The kids will receive their medals at the end of the session. We have 30 kids. b.) Adult Softball Ten teams are registered this season and we have about 53 games. Season is going great and that is an increase of three more teams over last year. c.) ASA Softball Tournament scheduled for 23 and 24 of July. 8 teams are registered. V. SET NEXT MEETING AND AGENDA Meeting ended at 8:30 p.m. Next meeting August 9th, 2005. The City of McCall's Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee meetings are held open to the public and handicapped accessible.
