A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF GIS SUPPORT
EQUIPMENT, INSTRUMENTS, HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURCHASE NEEDED
EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES THROUGH AN
INFORMAL BID PROCESS
. WHEREAS, the preparation of Water System Distribution Maps in GIS
I~ j format and will provide the city greater flexibility for planning, design and operation of the
~ t system; and
~ WHEREAS, the estimated cost for equipment, instruments, hardware and
software for use with GIS format is $45,000 00; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the account no. 02-4445-4212; and
WHEREAS, GIS related equipment, instruments, hardware and software
can be purchased more economically and expeditiously through informal bids process;
and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Municipal Code, Section 6-3.13 allows the
informal bidding process with a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council authorizes the informal bidding process for the
purchase of needed equipment, instruments, hardware and software for use with the GIS
format by a 4/5 vote.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
