Member � e.� introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. .Y.5-� /
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR A FIRE TRUCK WITH
1,250 GALLON PER MINUTE PUMPING CAPACITY
WHEREAS, the City of Medina advertised for bids on a fire truck
with a triple combination pumper rated at 1,250 gallons per minute,
hosebody, booster tank and other appurtenances in accordance with
printed specifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk reported that on March 1, 1985, at 4:00
p.m., the following bids had been received:
1. Conway Fire, incomplete bid, no bid bond.
2. Seven County Department Joint Powers, incomplete bid, no bid
bond.
3. Custom Fire, complete bid per specifications, $86,815.00.
WHEREAS, at 4:05 p.m. the following bid was received and opened
after consultation with the City Attorney:
1. General Safety & Equipment, complete bid per specifications,
$86,950.00.
WHEREAS, a committee of the Hamel Volunteer Fire Department, John
Gleason, Chairman, reviewed the bids in detail and recommended that
the bid of Custom Fire.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MEDINA, MINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The contract for the above described fire truck with a ten-year
warranty on the tank be awarded to Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc.
at the bid price of $86,815.00, delivery to be made on or before
March 19, 1986;
2. The City Attorney is directed to prepare the appropriate resolu-
tion and contract and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into the contract;
3. The Clerk is directed to return all bid bonds after the contract
has been executed by all parties.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
