APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
SLAVIN & MORSE, LLC
\mEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional legal services with regard to
ABC related matters; and
\VHEREAS, the law Einn of Slavin & Mone, LLC possesses the requisite experience and
expertise to provide said specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, the law firm of Slavin & Morse, LLC, has submitted a proposal to provide said
services at a maximum cost not to exceed $6,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial officer has certified that funds are or will be available for
said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of utterer that the law firm of Slavin & Morse, LLC be appointed as special counsel to
address ABClicense related matters at a maximum cost not to exceed $6,500.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this action is approve'd as an award of a
professional selVices contract pursuant to NlSA 40A:I1-5(1)(a) in accordance with the
Borough's Fair .and Open Process as authorized by law.
