A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE CDBG AND HOME
CONSOLIDATED ONE-YEAR ACTION PLAN FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2003-2004
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development
(~` provides federal funding in the form of the Community Development Block
1 l` Grant (CDBG) and the Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Grant; and
ir ~
WHEREAS, these funds are made available to ~assist the City of
Lynwood in providing decent housing, a suitable living environment and
expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and
~ ~ moderate income; and ~
WHEREAS, HUD CDBG funds and HOME funds are available to the
City of Lynwood for programming during the 2002-2003; and
WHEREAS, a total of $2,259,997 in CDBG funds and $888,348 in
HOME funds can be utilized to address the housing and community
development needs of the Lynwood community, especially those persons of
low and moderate income; and ~•
~ WHEREAS, public hearings were held to obtain citizen input and
comments on the City's housing and community development needs, and
draft Consolidated Annual Action Plan (FY2003-2004); and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council has reviewed the draft
~ Consolidated Annual Action Plan and taken into consideration public
; ~ comments and input, relating to Lynwood's community development and
`-~ housing needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows: ~
Section 2. The Consolidated Annual Action Plan for fiscal year 2003-
2004, CDBG and'HOME applications, 'and the allocation of CDBG and HOME
, funds are allocated to the following activities for fiscal year 2003-2004:
