RESOLUTION
#81-3
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Moab
deems it to be in the best interests of the City to
approve the attached Interlocal Agreement Creating the
Utah League of Cities and Towns, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to create an
entity, the primary purposes of which are to enhance
municipal government in Utah through mutual cooperation,
education, and training research, technical assistance
and to provide a single statewide forum and voice for
all Utah municipalities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOAB:
1. That the attached Interlocal Agreement
Creating the Utah League of Cities and Towns is hereby
adopted and approved.
2. That the City, in adopting the Agreement
Creating the Utah League of Cities and Towns, expressly
reserves the right to withdraw from said League at any
time upon the condition that all accrued dues to the League
are paid and notice of withdrawal given thirty (30) days
prior to the date on which the next annual dues shall be
payable.
3. That the City shall have no liability
for League obligations nor to the League for any assess-
ments, save upon the express consent of the governing body
of the City of Moab.
4. That this Resolution become effective
immediately on adopted.
