Re: Request for Resolution
Industrial Road Improvements (Traffic Signals)
Dear Mayor and Council Members:
As part of the NJDOT approval process for the design and installation ofthe proposed traffic signals at
the two Industrial Road and Roosevelt Avenue intersections, a Petition to modify the existing at-grade
rail crossing along Roosevelt Avenue at the two-way stop intersection (vicinity of Firehouse) must be
filed.
(
One requirement of the Petition materials includes a Resolution ii'om the Borough. The Resolution
must indicate the filing ofthe Petition has been approved by the governing body and the Borough
accepts maintenance responsibility f6r the signs and pavement markings at the crossing under their
jurisdiction (within Borough's ROW). As such, we respectfully request the Borough pass a Resolution
indicating same at the October 18, 2007 meeting.
Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.
Very truly yours,
