A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL• OF THE CITY OF 'LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING 3TAFF TO PURCHASE A STUMP CUTTER THROUGH AN
INfORMAL BID PROCESS ' ~ , . ~
• WHEREAS, from time to time city owned trees fall, need fo be removed for
public safety reasons or need root pcuning; and •
WHEREAS, city maintenance crews do not have equipment to effectively
rernove stump's or root prune; and '
WHEREAS, a Stump Cutter wilf remove a stump and root prune more '~
effectively~and expeditiously than hand tools; and
WHEREAS, the cost of a Stamp Cutter with carry on trailer is estimated at
$15,000.00 and funds are available in account no. 08-4451; and -
WHEREAS, the Lynwood ~Municipal Code; Section 6-3.13 allows the informal
bidding process with a 4/5 vote ~ ~ ~
~ NOW,'THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order_and resolve as follows: -

Section 1.• City Council authorizes the informal bidding process for the
purchase of a~Stump Cutter and carry on trailer not to exceed $15,000.00. ~
Section 2. Staff is authorized to use funds from account 08-445'I to purchase
said Stump Cutter. ' • ~
Section 3. This resolutiori shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
