A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ~L,YNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
~~, TO EXECUTE THE MEMORANDUM OF
~ UNDERSTADING WITH THE LOS ANGELES
COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY RELATING TO THE PROPOSITION
A DISCRETIONARY GRANT FUNDS FOR FY 2000-O1
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority
(MTA) authorized payment of Proposition A Discretionary Incentive funds to each participant
agency in an amount equal to the Federal funds generated for the region by each agency's
reported data; and ' - '
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has been a participant~ in the MTA's
Consolidated National Transit Database (NTD) Reporters Random Sampling Program for
FY 2000-O1 and has voluntarily submitted auditable NTD data to the MTA for FY 2000-01; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has requested funds under the Proposition A
Discretionary Incentive Program for collecting and reporting data for the NTD from the FY
2000-O1 Report Year; and '
i. WHEREAS, MTA requires the City to execute a Memorandum of Understanding
~l ' (MOU) for the receipt of said funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows:
S'ection 1: That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Memorandum of
Understanding with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation A'uthority relating to
the Proposition A Discretionary Incentive Funds. ~
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
