A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
CALLING FOR AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL
M[UNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2003,
FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICES AS REQUIRED BY THE
PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING
TO GENERAL LAW CITIES
', ,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD RESOLVES,
t.~- DECLARES, DETERMINES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS: .
Section 1. ' Pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the State of
California relating to General Law Cities, there is called and ordered to be held in
the City of Lynwood, on Tuesday, November 4, 2003, a regular General
Municipal Election for the purpose of electing two (2) members of the City
Council, a City Clerk, a City Treasurer, each to hold office for a term of four
years .
Section 2. The form and content of the ballofs to~ be used at this
election. will be as required by law . .
Section 3. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to procure and
furnish all official ballots, notices, printed matter, supplies, equipment, and
paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to properly and lawfully conduct
the election.
Section 4. The polls for the election will be open at seven o'clock a.m.
on the day of the election and will remain open continuously from that time until
eight o'clock p.m. of the same day when the polls will be closed, except as
provided in Section 14401 of the Elections Code.
`-"' Section 5. In all particulars not recited in this Resolution, the election
will be held and conducted as provided by law for the holding of General
Municipal Elections.
Section 6. Notice of the time and place of holding the election is given
by this Resolution, and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to.give such
further or additional notice of the election as may be required by law.
~Section 7.' The City Clerk is directed to certify to the passage and
adoption of the Resolution, and will enter it in the book of original Resolutions.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17th day of June
