ORDINANCE NO.604
AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING 37TH STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF BELAIRE, KANSAS, AS A MAIN TRAFFICWAY.
WHEREAS, K.S.A. 12-685 et seq. (the "Act") ning body of any city isauthorized and empowered to designate and establish, by afficway, any existing orproposed street, boulevard, avenue or part thereof, within S stion of which is, or Jallbe, the movement of through traffic between areas of concentrated activity within the city or between suchareas within the city and traffic facilities outside the city performing the function of a major trafficway; andsuch designation by the governing body shall be final and conclusive; and
WHEREAS'. the governing body of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas (the "City"), hereby finds anddetermines that3lth Street located within the City should be designated and establishei as a main trafficway
as provided by and under the authority of the Act.
THEREF'ORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BELAIRE. KANSAS:
Section 1. Designation. It is hereby authorized, ordered and directed, under the authority of the Act,that37th Street located within the limits of the City is hereby designated and established as a main trafficway.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be of force from and after its passageby the governing body of the City, approval by the Mayor and publication in the official City newspa-per.
