HomeMy Public PortalAbout2003.123 (07-01-03)12ESOLUTIOfV NO. 2003 _ 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF THE CITYIOF LYNWOOD ESTABLISHING AN APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR FISCAL XEARS 2003/04 and 2004/05 PURSUANT TO THE ARTICLE XIIIB OF TFiE CALIFORNIA COIVSTITUTION i ~~ WHEREAS, Article XIIIB of the California Constitutio ~ provides that the total annual appropriations subject to limitations of each governmental entity shall not exceed the appropriation limit of such entity of government, except for prio'r year adjustments in the cost-of- living or personal income and population, as noted in Article XIIIB and State Statues; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XIIIB of California Constitution, section 7900 et seq. of the California Government Code, the City of Lynwood is required to set its appropriation limit for each fiscal year by resolution, and approve appropriate inflation and population factors used in calculating limit; and " ~ ~ ' WHEREAS, total annual appropriation subject to limitation has been computed by the Director of Finance & Administration in accordance with provisions set forth in Article XIIIB, Government Code' Section 7900 et seq. and Proposition 111; and VVHEREAS, documenfation used in calculating limit h review in the City Clerk's Office prior fo the Public Hearing. ' That the City of Lynwood's Appropciation ~Limit for Fiscal Year 2003-04 is $19,281,206 and the FY 2004-05 Appropriation Limit shall be $19,943,515. Section 2. That the growth factors used in calculafiin~g the F.Y. 2003-04 and 2004-05 Appropriation Limit shall be the percentage change in California per capita income and the percentage change in population in the City of Lynwood. 1 Section 3. That resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
