RESOLUTION NO. 85- t
A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTION
OF AN INTERIM ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina recognizes
the need for a new land use plan for the area of the city
generally north of Highway 55, west of Highway 101, south of
Evergreen Road and east of the Medina Ballroom, the boundaries of
which are more specifically described in Attachment A hereto; and
WHEREAS, the planning commission at its meeting on July 9,
1985 recommended that the city council adopt a moratorium on
development in the described area; and
WHEREAS, the city council shall consider at its meeting on
July 16, 1985 adoption of a resolution imposing a moratorium on
development within the described area until the effective date of
an interim ordinance or 120 days after the adoption of the
resolution, whichever comes first.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Medina as follows:
1. A public hearing shall be held before the city council on
the ae day of ,,,k, uaf' , 1985 at el'o a p.m. to consid-
er adoption of the interim zoning ordinance placing a
moratorium on development within the described area.
2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause to
be published in the official newspaper a notice of said
public hearing, which notice shall appear at least ten (10)
days prior to the date of the hearing.
3. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to send
mailed notice at least ten (10) days before the hearing to
the owners of all affected properties and properties situ-
ated wholly or partly within 350 feet of the affected
property.
