A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A LASERFICHE DOCUMENT IMAGING
SYSTEM TO ENHANCE AND IMPROVE DEPARTMENTAL PAPER
DOCUMENT HANDLING SYSTEM
WHEREAS, a need exists to for a document imaging system be used in
multiple departments; and
WHEREAS, technological advancements have increased the speed of
processors to exceed the 3Ghz mark and the increase in hard drive space at
lower prices; and ' ~
VVHEREAS, the improvement in technology has brought down the cost to
implement a document imaging solution; and
WHEREAS, establishing a document imaging system will save time and
resources and allow for a favorable return on investment; and
WHEREAS, implementation will allow employees and citizens to have
faster access to information' such as invoices, minutes, and agendas by enabling
the viewing of documents on the local area network or via the website;
~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
Of Lynwood hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Sectionl: That the purchase of a laserfiche document imaging system from
New Vision Imaging System in the amount of $31,468 is hereby approved.
Section 2; That the annual maintenance support for approximately $3,000 is
hereby approved.
Section 3; . That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to execute
agreements noted in Section 1 and 2. ~
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 14thday of July, 2003.
