1. Call to Order.
2. Public Comments.
3. Award a Contract to the Lowest Responsive Bidder for the Construction of a
new Southside Platform and Pedestrian Overcrossing at the Riverside
Downtown Metrolink Station.

Staff is recommending that the Commission approve an award of a
construction contract to the lowest responsive bidder to construct the
improvements at the Downtown Riverside Metrolink Station. The station
improvements will include a new southside station platform, pedestrian
overcrossing, new station track, and relocation of the existing irrigation canal.
Bids will be opened on October 23, 1997 and be evaluated by Staff. Staff
recommendations will be presented to the Commission at the meeting.
4. Approval of Joint Use Agreement between RCTC and the City of Riverside for
Property Required for the Construction of the new Southside Platform and
Pedestrian Overcrossing.

Both the City of Riverside and RCTC own property required for the construction
of the improvements at the Riverside Downtown Metrolink Station described
in the preceding agenda item. After the construction is complete, the City will
require access to the new station area in order to service and maintain City
owned utilities and the irrigation canal. Staff recommends that the City and
RCTC enter into a Common Use Agreement that will clarify the terms and
conditions of the future joint use of the common property to be shared
between the City and RCTC.
