RESOLUTION NO. 2003.144 . :
~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO SILVIA CONSTRUCTION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$156,637.00 FQR THE LONG BEACH BLVD. IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT p1511y843XNUN
AGREEMENT". °
WHEREAS, the Long Beach Blvd. Improvement Project (I-105 Freeway to Imperial
Hwy), Project No. OS-5266 is scheduled for completion during the FY 2003-2004; and

WHEREAS, the Long Beach Blvd. Street Improvement Project is funded by Prop. C
Funds; and ~ ~ ,
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on July 22, 2003 and Silvia Construction was the
apparent lowest bidder at $156,637.00; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the necessary
experience for this type of project.
NOW THEREFORE; the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows: ~
Section 1. That the contract for the Long Beach Blvd. Street Improvement Project,
Project Number 05-5266, be awarded to Silvia Construction, for its low bid of $156,637.00.
Section.2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement between
the City-of Lynwood and Silvia Construction. '
