~ A RESOLUTION~OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND
APPLICATION MATERIALS IN ORDER TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS TO
, FIRST ~5 LA FOR THE CHILDCARE PLANNING . AS WELL AS SCHOOL
READINESS GRANTS CURRENTLY AVACIABLE

WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is desirous of assisting in the community with
increased availability of childcare and assistance; and ' '
WHEREAS, the City Council viewed this as a priority and hired a childcare
consultant to a'ssist with this effort; and
WHEREAS, the Child Care Consultant has located a potential funding
opportunity available to assist in this endeavor and the City is eligible for various grants.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of fhe City of Lynwood does hereby find,
determine, order and resolve as follows: • ~ •
Section 1: To authorize the City Manager or her designee to prepare any and
all app;lication forms and support documentation necessary to complete the
application. ~ ,
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption. ,
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of August, 2003.
