A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $29,795 TO APA ENGINEERING
INC. FOR THE DESIGN OF THE CIVIC CENTER PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, on February 2, 2010, the City Council authorized staff to solicit
proposals for the design of the Civic Center parking lots project; and
WHEREAS, staff requested proposals from the pre-approved list of on-call
engineering firms, for the preparation of plans, specifications and related contract
documents for the design of the Civic Center Parking Lots Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, staff has received two proposals from the on-call consulting firms
who responded to the RFP. The proposals are as follows:
Consultant
Fee
APA Engineering Inc. ~ $29,795 .
KOA/CBM Consulting Inc. $42,270
WHEREAS, based on tlieir proposal, staffing and expertise, APA Engineering
Inc. was selected to prepare the project design and contract documents for a fee of not-
to-exceed $29,795.
NOW, THEREFORE,'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOL' VE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council awards a consulting services
contract to APA Engineering Inc. in a not-to-exceed amount of $29,795 for the design of'
the Civic Center Parking Lots.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Agreement between
the City of Lynwood and APA Engineering Inc. in a form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Glerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2"d day of March, 2010.
