A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD ORDERING THE VACATION AND
ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION CHESTER STRBET IN
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did, on the 19th day of
~ August, 2003, adopted Resolution No. 2002.159, declaring its intention to vacate that portion of
~~ , Chester Street; and

j~ WHEREAS, notices of said.vacation have been publicized in the time, form, and
manner required by law; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the matter was held on the 16th day of
September, 2003, as prescribed by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows:
, Section l. That the following described portion of streets are unnecessary for
present or prospective public use, and that the public interest, necessity and convenience require
that the City Council of said City hereby order the vacation and abandonment of those streets
described as follows: ~~
That portion of Chester Street, fifty (50) feet wide, bounded by the
southeasterly extension of the southerly property line of Lot 439 and the
northerly right-of-way line of Fernwood Avenue (vacated), as shown on
Tract No. 2551, in the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of
`~ ~, California, Map Book 24, Pages78-80, in the office of the County Recorder of
~ said County
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby determine
that the public convenience and necessity require that necessary easements be retained for ingress
and egress to private and publicly owned facilities and for the construction and maintenance of
utilities within the limits of said portion of streets as described in Section 1. Said easements shall
include but are not limited to the following:
1. An ingress and egress easement reserved for the City of Lynwood for the
operation and maintenance of the municipal water well.
2. An easement reserved for Southern California Edison Company for the
operation and maintenance of its electrical facilities.
3. An easement reserved for the Los Angeles County Flood Control District for
the maintenance of its storm drain facilities.
Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood shall cause a certified copy
of said order to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County.
Section 4.. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
