HomeMy Public PortalAbout1978-10-03 Public Hearing26 PUBLIC HEARING October 3, 1978 The first Public Hearing on a proposed ordinance to establish new Zoning Regulations in the Business District was held at 5:15 P. M., October 3, 1978 in the Village Hall. All councilmen were present. Also present were Fred Maley, Village Manager; Mary Wetterer, Village Clerk; Alan Gold, Village Attorney; and John Fernsler of Wallace Mc Harg Roberts and Todd, Zoning Consultants. The Mayor announced that the second Public Hearing would be held on October 17, 1978 at 5:15 P. M. at the Village Hall. Mr. Maley said the previous issue of explained the zoning changes and reviewed Mr. Gold read the proposed ordinance in the code. the Village Newsletter had the old and new regulations. 4 and explained the changes Various sections of the ordinance were discussed and it was tIke opinion of those present that another Newsletter should be sent ex- plaining the traffic section and the changes more in detail. Parking on the roofs was also clarified. Mr. Gold reported that Mr. Dan Paul attorney representing,Bal Harbour Shops, had asked for a clarification regarding whether or not mezzanines were to be included in the Floor Area Ration and that he was -requesting this information from the consultants. The council was asked for their opinion on the consultants' re- commendations and they said they were in Savor of them. Members of the Bal Harbour Environmental Protective Association agreed that they were willing to comprise and abide by the consultants' recommendations. The meeting adjourned at 40.6 P. M.
