- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
~~ AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HER DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE
THE COLLECTION PROGRAM SITING LIABILITY AGREEMENT WITH
L" THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FOR THE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE
AND E-WASTE ROUNDUP
WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued regulations governing
hazardous waste under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Comprehensive
Envirorimental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA); and
WHEREAS, the Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste event was instituted by the Los
Angeles County Board of Superv~sors in 1988 and is availab(e to all resident ~n Los Angeles County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood will host a Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste event in
the City of Lynwood on Saturday, November 1, 2003 at Lynwood Park; and
WHEREAS, in order for the County to conduct said event in Lynwood, the Collection Program
Siting Liability Agreement needs to be executed
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim,
order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Manager or her designee is hereby authorized to execute the
Collection Program Siting Liability Agreement between the City of Lynwood and the County of Los

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
