AUTHORIZING BEACON PLANNING AND CONSULTING SERVICES, LLC,
TO PREP ARE AND THE BOROUGH TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR
QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) FOR REDEVELOPER(S) FOR THE
REDELOPMENT OF BLOCK 64.02, LOT 1 WITmN THE FEDERAL
BOULEVARD REDEVELOPMENT AREA
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has previous adopted a Redevelopmeut Plan for the
Federal Boulevard Redevelopment Area (phase I & II) in accordance with the provisions
New Jersey Redevelopment and Housing Law, N.J.S.A. 40A: 12A-I et seq.
("Redevelopment Law"); and .
\VHEREAS, the Borough desires to select a qualified redeveloper or redevelopers, to
implement a redevelopment project for Block 64.02, Lot 1 \vithin the aforementioned
redeveiopment area, pursuant to the above Redevelopment Plan, in addition to any such
redeveloper(s) andlor project(s) previously so selected, designated, andlor approved for
other components ofthe redevelopment area. .
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Conncil of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey that Beacon Planning and
Consulting Services, LLC, is hereby authorized to prepare a Request for Qualifications
(RFQ) for a Redeveloper(s) to redevelop Block 64.02, Lot I, in the Federal Boulevard
Redevelopment Area.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Borough Clerk's Office, and any of the
Borough's relevant professional staff and/or redevelopment consultants, to work with
Beacon Pla~g, to issue, and otherwise advertise fq.r responses to, the RFQ.
BE IT. FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies oftms Resolution shall be.transmitted to
BeaconPlannJng and Consulting Services, LLC, and the Borough's Law Department.
