A RESOLUTION, identifying and designating a Civil Service Commissioner to
serve on the Civil Service Commission of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, per Section
8.020 of the Charter Plan of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District.
WHEREAS, Section 8.020 of the Charter Plan established the Civil Service
Commission of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District;
WHEREAS, Section 8.020 of said Charter provides that said Civil Service
Commission shall consist of three members, who shall be appointed by the Board;
WHEREAS, Section 8.020 of said Charter provides that members shall be persons
who are known to be in sympathy with the application of merit principles to public employment;
WHEREAS, Section 8.030 provides the duties of the Civil Service Commission;
and
WHEREAS, on May 13, 2021, Marylynn Sims was appointed by the Board of
Trustees to serve as a Civil Service Commissioner for a three (3) year term and is eligible for a
second three (3) year term, expiring on May 13, 2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT, THAT the Board hereby appoints
Marylynn Sims to serve as a Civil Service Commissioner for a three (3) year term from May 13,
2021 to May 13, 2024 and is eligible for a second three (3) year term, expiring on May 13, 2027.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted on May 13, 2021.
