AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Fifteen Million Six
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($15,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
sanitary sewer construction in Deer Creek Sanitary Tunnel (Clayton Rd to RDP) – Pump Station
(12615) in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to appropriate
additional funds to Contract No. 21899 with KCI Construction Company, Inc. for sanitary sewer
construction.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 15433, adopted August 13, 2020, appropriated the
initial funding for and authorized Contract No. 21899; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifteen Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($15,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
construction in Deer Creek Sanitary Tunnel (Clayton Rd to RDP) – Pump Station (12615) in the
City of Shrewsbury, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to appropriate additional funds
to Contract No. 21899 with KCI Construction Company, Inc., for sanitary sewer construction in
Deer Creek Sanitary Tunnel (Clayton Rd to RDP) – Pump Station (12615) in the City of
Shrewsbury, Missouri, and shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved
by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on July 8, 2021.
