A RE$OLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~HE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DETERMINING THAT A NUISANCE I3 BEING MAINTATNED ON
CERTAIN PROPERTY, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 3168 REDWOOD AVENUE,
AND IDENTIFIED AS TAX ASSES50R'S BOOIi NO. 6171, PAGE 012,
LO~ 055, IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND DIRECTING THE
AF3ATEMENT THEREOF .
WH~REAS, pursuant to the recommendation of the City Manager of the City of Lynwood,
~ and Staff, the condidons at the site have proven to impact public health, safety and general welfare of residents in the

WHEREAS, it has been documented that this site has heavily impacted the City's resources
due to the excessive amount of enforcement required in trying to bring this site into compliance; and
WHEREAS, this Council has conducted a public hearing and has heard and considered all
relevant evidence and testimony from all interested persons desiring to be heard concerning the conditions constituting
the alleged nuisance and the proposed abatement.
NOW, TI~REFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find, deternune,
order and resolve as follows;
Section 1. The property described as Tax Assessor's Book No. 6171, Page 012, Lot
055, also known as 3168 Redwood Avenue, in the City of Lynwood, California, is hereby found and declared to be a
public nuisance as defined in Chapter 3-13.1 of t2ie Lynwood City Code.
Section 2. The particular conditions of said property which ar~ hereby found and
detez-mined to constitute a nuisance are described as follows:
: ~ 1. Vacant lot with overgrown vegetadan and junk, trash and debris scattered throughout the sita.

2. pead, decayed, diseased or hazardous trees, weeds and debris.
Section 3, It is. furtlier found and deternuned that the methods by which said
conditions could be abated include, but are not,limited to:
L Upon obtaining an Entry and Abatement Warrant for this site, all junk, trash, debris and nlotor vehictes
from the inside of the units will be removed, properly disposed of, and the site will be maintained on a
regular basis.
Sectian 4. The owner of said properly, Richard Triplett is ordered and directed to
take said steps and to aba~te said nuisance. ~
Section 5. If the property owner fails to take the steps as provided in this resolution
within five (5) days after the date this resolution is posted upon said property, the City of Lynwood shall immediately
cause the same to be abated by City personnel or private contractor and such personnel or persons under contract are
expressly authdrized to enter upon the premises for such~purposes.

!~ Section 6. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to post conspicuously at least
one copy of this Resolntian on the subject property and fo send another copy of this Resolution by registered or certified
mail, postage prepaid, return receipt requested, to the owner of said land as lus name and address appears on the last
equalized assessment roll, or it known to the City Clerk.
The failure of any owner or other person to receive such notice shall not affect in any manner
the validity of any proceedings taken under.
Section 7. In the event the City of Lynwood causes the aforementioned nuisance to
be abated by Ciry personnel or private contractor, the owner of the premises shall be liable to said City. All said costs
sha11 constitute a special assessrnent against the subject property upon approval from City Council.
THE CITY COUNCIL hereby fixes the hour of 6:00 p.m., November 18, 2Q03 as the time and the
City Council Chambers, 11330 Bullis Road, as the place for a Cost Abatement Hearing.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ApOPTED at a regular meeting of the City of Lynwood held on the
eighteenth day of November, 2003
