, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITI( OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE
• FUNDING OF A LOUD PARTY CAR
WHEREAS, there have been,numerous complaints received for citywide
~ disturbances related to~ loud music and loud parties; and.
1 WHEREAS, in response'to this issue, at the November 4th City Gouncil Meeting,
~; Council approved the Sheriff's Department proposal of implementing a party car for'a six-
~:~ hour shift; and ~
WHEREAS, this activity~was not budgeted as part of the FY 03-05 budget;
therefore, an appropriation is required from the general fund in order to pay for this
function. ~ , '
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY F1ND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to carry out any
necessary transactions as so ordeced by this resolution. • , ,
~ , Section 2. That the City Council author.ize the transfer of $36,000 from the
- unappropriated general fund to Account #01-4555-4230 to fund the party~car for a ninety-
~ day period. • ~, .
Section 3. That the Sheriff's Department provide the City Manager with a bi-
weekly report on the actual activities related to this additional law enforcement service
