Home My Public Portal About2003.234 (12-16-03)RESOLUTION N0. 2003.234 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING THE CITY OF LYNWOOD'S FEE SCHEDU,LE TO INCREASE FIRE CLEARANCE FEES 20% ANNUALLY FOR A FIVE-YEAR PERIOD FROM JANUARY 2004 THROUGH JANUARY 2008 .--- : ~ E-- WHEREAS, DMG MAXIM.US prepared a cost of service study that included the Fire Clearance fees as one of the services highly subsidized by the City's General Funds; and f WHEREAS, the study revealed that the cost of rendering such services should be borne by the individuals or group who are beneficiaries of such services rather than the citizenry at large; and WHEREAS, it is the City's policy to recover costs reasonably borne for services provided at a policy level approved by the City Council; and WiiEREAS, the City Council has held a duly noticed public hearing on the proposed increases in fees to allow an opportunity for pubtic input and comments. - NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find, order, and resolve as follows: SECTI~iJ 1. That the City Council authorizes and approves a yearly 20% r increase in the fire clearance fee, beginning on renewal date January 1, 2004, ~ and cor~tinuing until January 2008. S~CTION ~. That the Lynwood City Council approves the following multi- year plan for increase in Fire Clearance Fees at listed in Attachment "A", entitled Proposed Fee Schedule; and SECTION 3.
