Caulks Creek Pump Station B (P-751) Relocation (12114) is a lump sum cost project for the design and preparation of construction documents to construct a new triplex submersible pump station in a new location, approximately 290 feet of 18-inch diameter sanitary sewers, approximately 210 feet of 10-inch diameter force main, secondary power supply, demolition of the existing pump station, and appurtenances. The purpose of this project is to replace an inadequate pump station facility with no space for expansion or secondary storage, no secondary power supply, and a safety risk for maintenance being extremely close to an active railroad track and expanded overhead power lines above the facility. Due to the complexities of pump station site selection, the design services will be completed in two (2) phases. The first phase completes a Technical Memorandum evaluating several pump station sites for property acquisition, maintenance access, utility coordination and cost effective construction. This second phase of the design services will complete surveying, geotechnical investigation, pump station design, bidding phase services, and construction phase services. The construction cost estimate for this project is $8,000,000. Construction is anticipated to begin in FY2023.
