A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPOINTING A REPRESENTATIVE
AND AN ALTERNAT'E AND SIJBSTITUTE ALTERNATE REPRESENTATIVE
RISK 1VIANAGEMENT AUTHORIT'Y (ICRMA)

~, WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is a member of the Independen# Cities Risk
L. _ j, Management Authority ("ICRNdA"), a joint powers authority created pursuant ~to the
provisions of the California Govemment Code; and
WHEREAS, ICRMA pravides a Liability R:isk Manageriient Program, Property
Risk IVlanagernent Program, Workers' Compensation Risk Management Program, and
other programs far its members; and
WHEREAS, the Joint Powers Agreement provides tha# the city council of each
member city shail appoint a member of the city council as that city's representative to the
ICRMA Governing Board and also authorizes the appointment of an alternate
representative and a substitute altemate representative to represent the city's interest in
the absence of the city council appointee;.and
WHEREAS, City desires to designate its representative to the ICMA Governing

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Ciry Council of the City of
Lynwood does hereby fmd, determine and declare as follows:
~ SECTION 1. That L e t i c i a V a s q u e z (must be. an elective official) is
t hereby appointed to serve on the ICRMA Governing Board and to the Risk Management
~ Programs in which this City participates.
' . SECTION 2. That G a i 1 B 1 a c k (may be a s~aff person) is hereby
appointed a.s the alternate, to serve on the ICRMA Goveming Board and to the Risk
. Management Programs in which this City participates in the absence of the primary
,~ rnember noted in Sectionl. above.
SECTION 3. That A 1 f r e t t a E a r n e s t (may be a staff person) is hereby
appointed as the substitute aiternate, to serve on the ICRMA Government Board and to
the Risk Management Programs in which this City participates in the absence of the
~rimary and alternate members noted in Sectionl and 2 above.
SECTION 4. That the individuals~designated by this City Council as the City's
representative, alternate and substitute alternate representatives to the ICIZMA Governing
Board and to the Risk Management Programs in which this City participates are hereby
, conE'iirmed and designated as the City's delegates for aIl purposes of representing the
~ City's interests and exercising the authority of the City with respect to the Coverage and
~ the Program and voting on behalf of the City on a1i matters delegated to the Governing
Board and signing such amendments as are contemplated to be approved by the
; ` ~ Governing Board. " `

I J' R~SOLVED, that a certified copy of this Resolution shall be provided to the
" General Manager of the ICRMA.
