A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPRO~LING
THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE URBAN PARK ACT OF 2001
PROGRAM UNDER THE CALIFORNIA CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, SAFE
NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, AND COASTAL PROTECTION BOND ACT OF 2002 FOR
LYNWOOD SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER ~ ~
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted California Safe
Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air, and Coastai Protection Bond Act of 2002 which
provides funds to the State of California for~grants to eligible applicants; and
~ WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks. and Recreation has been
. ~ delegated the ~responsibility for the administration of the -Urban Park Act:,of 2004 Program and
_ the grant project shown above within the State, setting up necessary procedures; and
~ WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California~Deparfinent of Parks~
~ and Recreation require the City Councif to certify by resolution the approval of the application
prior to submission to the State; and _ '
~ WHEREAS, the City will enter into a contract with the State of California for the
Project. " , ~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 'by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows: ' ' ~ . . •
Section 1: That the City Council approves. the filling for local assistance funds
" from the Urban Park Act of 2001 under the Safe Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean air,
' and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2002. ~ .
~ Sectiora 2: That the City Council certifies fhe City of Lynwood has or will have
t- sufficient funds to operate and maintain the Projects.

Section 3: That the City Council certifies that staff has reviewed, understands
and agrees to the General Provisions contained' in the Contract shown in the Procedural Guide.:,-
. ~ Section 4: That the,City Councif appoints the City Manager or her designee as
agenf~to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including,~but not limited to
applications, ,agreements, payment requests• and so on, which may be necessary for the
completion of Projects. ~ • ,

Section 5: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. '
