A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~-IE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE PROGRAMMING AND
FUND APPROPRIATION FOR THE USED OIL BLOCK
GRANT PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2003-2004 AND
2004-2005; AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT
EXTNESION WITH CURBSIDE, INC., FOR THE USED OIL
BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
~ the City of Lynwood receives funding from California lntegrated
~ WHEREAS,
Waste Management Board (CIWMB) to promote residential used oil collection recycling
programs; and
WHEREAS, the Used Oil Block Grant funding is an on-going grant funded
program; and
WHEREAS, funds have been received from CIWMB and is available for the
Program; and
WHEREAS, funds for the Program were inadvertently omitted from the 2003-
2004 Budget; and
WHEREAS, funds are needed to be appropriated and transferred to the Used Oil
Block Grant fund; and
WHEREAS, Curbside, Inc., provides residential curbside used oil collection and
program management in the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, Curbside, Inc., has been providing curbside collection services since
the conception of the Used Oil Collection Program; and
4-- WHEREAS, Curbside, Inc., contract service agreement expired on December 31,
2003;and
WHEREAS, Curbside, Inc., contract needs to be extended on a month-to-month
basis to allow the City to complete the solicitation of competitive bids; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager or her designee is hereby authorized to
make the following fund appropriations and transfer:

Unappropriated Used Oil Block Grant Program
Used Oil Block Grant Fund Balance Project No. 60-4482-4220
SECTION 2. That the service contract with Curbside, Inc., for the Used Oil
Recycling Program be extended on a month-to-month basis.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
