A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITI' OF LYNWOOD DESIGNATING THE CITY
MANAGER OR HER DESIGNEE AS THE AUTHORIZED ~
AGENT TO SUBMIT APPL'ICATIONS AND TO~PROVIDE
1NFORMATION TO THE STATE OFFICE OF
EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR CERTAIN FEDERAL
AND /OR STATE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS, the City .of Lynwood is eligible to receive state financial assistance for the
cost incurred by the November 12, 2003 storm ; and ,~
WHEREAS, the State ~ Office of Emergency Services requires local agencies to submit
application and to provide pertinent informatiori for said financial assistance; and
WHEREAS; said application and information are required to be submitted• and provided
by an authorized agent from the local government body.
NOW THEREFORE, the City , Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclairn, order and resolve as follows:
Section l. That the City Manager or her designee is hereby authorized to submit
application to the Office of Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining certain
federal financial assistance under P.L. 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford
Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of i988, and/or state financial assistance
under the California Disaster Assistance Act.
Section 2. That the City Gouncil hereby authorizes said agent to provide to the State
Office of Emergency Services for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance
the ~assurance and agreements required. ~ -
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
