A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2003.226 AND APPROVING THE
APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE MURRAY-HAYDEN
' PROGRAM UNDER THE SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, CLEAN
WATER, CLEAN AIR, AND COASTAL PROTECTION BOND ACT OF
2002 FOR ROSE PARK IMPROVEMENTS.

~ WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted California Safe
~_ Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air, and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2002 which
provides funds to the State of California for grants to eligible applicants; and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation has been
delegated fhe responsibility for the administration of the Murray-Hayden Urban Parks and Youth
Service Program grant Project shown above, setting up necessary procedures; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Department of Parks
and Recreation require the City Council to certify by resolution the approval of the application to
the State; and
WHEREAS, the City will enter into a contract with the State of California for the
Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows
Section 1: That the City Council approves the filling for local assistance funds
from the Murray-Hayden Program under the Safe Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean air,
and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2002.
~~ ~ Section 2: That the City Council certifies the City of Lynwood has or will have
;! sufficient funds to operate and maintain the Projects.
Section 3: That the City Council certifies that staff has reviewed, understands
and agrees to the General Provisions contained in the Contract shown in the Procedural Guide.
Section 4. That the City Council certifies that the Grantee has or will have
available, prior to commencement of any work on the Project, the proportional match.
Section 5. That the City Council certifies that the Project conforms to the
recreation element of any applicable city or county general plan.
Section 6: That the City Council appoints the City Manager or the City
Manager's designee as agent to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents
including, but not limited to applications, agreements, payment requests and so on, which may
be necessary for the completion of Projects
Section 7: That this resolution shall supercede and amend Resolution No.
2003 226.
Section 8: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 2nd day of March , 2004.
