~ ~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWO,OD -
~AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF TWELVE-THOUSAND .NINE-HUNDRED
~ FIFTY DOLLARS~ FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED GENERAL FUND BALANCE TO
PLAN AND CONDUCT A LYNWOOD YOUTH CRIME PREVENTION SUMMIT
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to provide youth with the tools to learn
~ F how to effectively assist in the prevention of crime; and -
. ' WHEREAS, the Lynwood Youth Crime. Prevention Summit is being planned as a
foilow up activity to honor National Victirns of Crim`e Week which is April 19-25, 2004;
and
;. ~ Vi/HEREAS, the City of Lynwood has partnered with faith-based and community
:~~~ based organizations to plan for the Lynwood Youth Crirne Prevention Summit on Friday
~ May 14, 2004 and Saturday May 15, 2004; and ~ ~~
WHEREAS, the prevention of crime, is a concern for all in the Lynwood
Community; and , ~ ~ ~
~ V1/HEREAS the total cost to host a Youth Crime Prevention Summit would be
. approximately, twelve-thousand nine-hundred fifty doltars ($12,950.00); and
, ~
~ WHEREAS this event was not identified as a part of the adopted 2003-2005 '
~ biennial budget. ~ ~ ,

~ ~ NOW, THEREFORE, fhe City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
' proclaim, order and re,solve as follows:
~ Section 1. The City Council of, fhe City of Lynwood authorizes fhe City
~ - Manager or her designee to execute all necessary financial ~
, ~ activities relative to this resolution.
' Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the transfer of
~. $12,950.00 in the foilowing fashion: ' , y ..
