Re: City Franchise Fees
Dear City Clerk:
Idaho Power Company has recently reviewed our franchise agreement procedures and identified
several issues that need to be reviewed. One of those issues is ensuring that the cities have one
point of contact to address any franchise items including annexation notices, billings, etc. I will
be your Idaho Power Company point of contact for all issues concerning franchise fees. Please

Under the existing franchise agreement, the city is required to notify the Company of any new
annexation ordinances and provide appropriate information so that we can ensure that our
records are correct. The information needed includes:
• A copy of the annexation ordinance
• Detailed maps of the annexed area (GIS maps if available)
• A list of the existing addresses in the annexed area
• A list of subdivision names and phases in the annexed area
Our goal is to ensure that all our customers are being billed correctly and your city is receiving
the franchise fees you are entitled to. If you have any questions about the franchise agreement,
