1. Call to Order.
2. Approval of Minutes.
3. Public Comments.
4. Consent Calendar.
(All matters on the consent calendar will be approved in a
single motion unless a Commission. member request separate
action on specific items.)
A. Lake Elsinore Transit System (LETS) - State Transit
Assistance Fund Claim.
Staff recommends approval of a claim for $72,000 to
provide local match for an UMTA Section 18 grant to
purchase two lift equipped transit coaches.
B. UMTA 16(b)2 Grant Applications.
Staff recommends approval of applications by Meditrans,
Cathedral City Senior Center, and Jewish Community
Center of Palm Desert. Support is. conditioned on
cooperation and coordination in a CTSA Study and
further documentation of need.
C. OWP Plannina Funds for Transit.
Staff and the Transit Planning and Coordinating
Committee recommend approval of UMTA 8 pass through
funds from SLAG to RCTC ($12,000), SunLine ($:3,000;
and RTA ($ 40 , M0 ) -
5. RCTC, STA, TDA, SAFE Audit Contract.
Staff will present the Commission with a list of firms which
submitted proposals, costs, and recommended selection.

6. FY 1989-1993 Short Range Transit Plan.
Staff and the RCTC Citizens Advisory Committee/Social
Service Advisory Committee recommend approval of the Short
Range Transit Plan for the Western County and Palo Verde
Valley areas. (Consideration of the Coachella Valley portion
of the SRTP will be set for July.)
7. Allocation of TDA Funds to Transit Operators.
Staff recommends approval of allocations for the Western
County and Palo Verde Valley areas based on the SRTP, and
the Coachella Valley based on preliminary TIP.
8. RTA Minimum Fare Ratio.
Staff recommends a ratio of 18% for RTA.
9. Legislation.
Staff recommends support positions on SB 1872 and SB 2446.
10. Park and Ride Lot Security.
Staff recommends measures to address theft and vandalism.
11. Transportation Management Association Demonstration Project
Funding.
Staff requests $30,000 for Riverside County for program to
be worked out through SCAG/RCTC, City and County of
Riverside, and CVAG.
12. Transportation Sales Tax Status Report.
A status report on various items is included. No actin
required.
13. SAFE/Caltrans Agreement.
Staff recommends an RCTC/Caltrans agreement ($30,000) for
Caltrans assistance in planning and constructing
system.
14. SAFE Consultant Status Report.
TECHPLAN representatives will be present to discuss the
status of the work.
15. RCTC Executive Director's Report.
16. SCAG Report.
