RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET AMENDING'
RESOLUTION NO. 07-301 ENTITLED "RESOLUTION OF THE
BOROUGH OF CARTERET A]JTHORIZING THE CARTERET
PLANNING BOARD TO CONDUCT A PRELIMINARY
INVESTIGATION AND MAKE A RECOMMENDATION AS TO
WHETHER THE PROPOSED KINDER MORGAN
IMPROVEMENT AREA IS AN AREA IN NEED OF
REDEVELOPMENT PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL
REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING LAW, N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 ET
SEQ."
WHEREAS, the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-l et seq.,
as amended aud supplemented (the "Redevelopment Law'') provides a process for
municipalities to participate in the redevelopment and improvement of areas in need of
redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, on December 6, 2007, the Borough Council duly adopted resolution no. 07-
301 entitled ''Resolution of the Borough of Carteret Authorizing the Carteret Planning
Board to Conduct a Preliminary Investigation aud Make Recommendations as to Whether
the Proposed Kinder Morgan Improvement Area is au Area in Need of Redevelopment
Pursuant to the Local Redevelopment aud Housing Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-l et seq.";
and
WHEREAS, the Borough wishes to amend the description of the Improvement Area, as
such term is defined in Resolution No. 07-301.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
Section 1. The term "Improvement Area", as defined in Resolution No. 07-301, is
hereby amended aud supplemented to read as follows:
"Block 9.03, Lots 14.02, 17.04,18.02 aud 18.03; and Block 10, Lot 3.03
or such other Block and Lot designation on the tax map of the Borough
reflecting the parcel innnediately abutting, in the northwestern direction,
'both Lots 17.04 aud 18.02 within Block 9.03"
Section 2. Exc~pt as othenvise set forth in Section 1 hereof, the remainder of
Resolution No. 07-301 shall remain unchal)ged and continue in full force and effect.

Section 4. Upon the adoption hereof, the Borough Clerk shall forward certified
copies of this resolution to Matthew C. Karrenberg, Esq., DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole &
Wisler, LLP, Special Redevelopment Cotillsel to the Borough.
